Let’s Help Your Headache

Is your neck pain causing your headache?

For many sufferers, a headache is a (literal) pain in the neck. Cervicogenic headaches, also known as muscle-spasm headaches, are the most common types of headaches in adults. Tension headaches are also common and may feel like soreness in the neck and shoulders.

How Long will it take to feel better?

It is common to feel significant relief after just one visit. To make your relief lasting and ensure long-term healing change, a care specific to each patient will be developed. Often the patient will complete a structured exercise plan that is done both at-home and in the clinic. This plan can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, in most cases. What is “Tech Neck”?

We are spending more time than ever before looking at our devices and screens. When we look at our phones, we move our head forward putting strain on the neck. Similarly, the position used when sitting at a computer puts added pounds of pressure on the upper spine. This type of posture leads to pain, soreness and stiffness called “tech neck.” Luckily, it can be treated non-invasively with PT. Your PT can even make recommendations for your work station to support great posture. We offer on-site evaluations of work stations in our worker’s compensation services.
